Actuator Functions

Actuator is the element that converts an analog electrical quantities into other quantities such as speed of rotation and an electromagnetic devices which produce motion so that it can produce power on the robot motion. To increase the mechanical power actuator can be mounted gearbox system.
Actuator can do certain things after getting orders from the controller. For example in a search robot light, if there is light, then the sensor will provide information to the controller who will then rule on the actuator to move closer to the direction of the light source.
Actuators in the control perspective can be described as:
Ø Actuators: Door control to the system
Ø Actuators: Modifiers electrical signals into mechanical quantities
Ø Limitation real actuators: steering terkesil signals, saturation.

actuator functions
ü Produce movement
ü rotational and translational movement
ü The majority of actuator> motor based
ü actuators in the simulation tends to be linear
ü real actuators tend to be non-linear

This type of driving force on the actuator
v actuators electrical power, usually used solenoid, motor direct current (DC Machines). The nature of torque easily set with a small to moderate
v actuators hydraulic power, big torque construction difficult.
v power pneumatic actuators, it is difficult to control.
v Other actuators: piezoelectric, magnetic, ultra sound.
